TRANSPORTATION HOW TO GET THERE Albay is accessible by air, sea, and land transportation: It is an hour away from Manila by plane or about 10 hours by bus from Manila and more than an hour by boat from the Visayas. There are daily direct flights from Manila, and daily air-conditioned tourist buses for the Manila-Legazpi route. There are also daily sea voyages to and from Albay and the different points in the Visayas and Mindanao. Tourist destinations can be reached with Legazpi City as the jump-off point to other tourist attractions in the entire Bicol region. From Hong Kong The most convenient way is to take Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air or Cathay Pacific Airways from HKG Chek Lap Kok International Airport to Manila - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (approx. 1 hr 40 min). From Manila you may take daily connecting flights to Legazpi City, serviced by Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air & Zest Air from early in the morning till the evening, with a flight time of about an hour. The Legazpi Airport is is capable of handling aircrafts such as Airbus A320, Boeing 737-400, and Boeing 727 and has the Mayon Volcano as its scenic backdrop. Various options are available for transportation to Legazpi City and environs, from pedicabs, multicabs, to vans and taxis.

From Masbate to Pilar Montenegro Lines provides daily (fast craft) services to and from Masbate City and Pilar (Sorsogon). Ferry trips takes only an hour.
