ACTIVITIES (活動)

Cebu occupies a central position in the Visayas, making it the regions most dynamic centre. Luxury hotels abound in Mactan Island, while interesting vestiges of the past can be found in the southern coast. On the west coast, the lovely beaches of Moalboal are situated, where you can go diving and snorkeling. Just a few minutes away from the city are numerous white sand beaches, crystal blue waters, and swaying palms, making Cebu a perfect destination for both business and leisure.

SCUBA DIVING (水肺潛水)

Mactan is a coral island and famous scuba diving and beach site. It is where the big and luxury hotels and beach resorts of international standards are concentrated, located mostly on the east coast, 20 km. from the city and only 8 km. from the Airport. It is also the site of the Export Processing Zone.

Moalboal – The sleepy little market town, 89 km. southwest of Cebu City was one of the first places where scuba diving caught on in the Philippines. From here, one can dive straight off Panagsama Beach, which is home to an extraordinary array of coral, anemones, sponges and a swarming host of brightly coloured reel fish. Notable as an excellent diving area is the water around Pescador Island.

Badian Island – Located 97 km. southwest of Cebu City. Well-known for beautiful corals, reefs, and white sandy beaches, making it an excellent diving spot.

SWIMMING & SNORKELING (游泳 和 浮潛)

Malapascua Island – Situated across the northernmost tip of Cebu, is endowed with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The west coast is ideal for swimming and snorkeling, but one should be cautious because of the unpredictable weather. A tour of the whole island can be done in half a day.

SHOPPING (購物)

Cebu City – The shops, malls, restaurants and cinemas are concentrated on Colon Street, within the commercial artery of the city. Cebu displays considerable creativity as far as bamboo furniture goes. In the district of Maribago, in Lapu-Lapu City one can actually observe the specialized fabrication of shell craft and the world famous Cebu Guitars.

BIRD WATCHING (觀鳥)

Olango Wildlife Sanctuary – Olango Island supports the largest concentration of migratory birds in the in the area. From February to May and from August to November of each year, the 920 hectare island becomes the haven and refuelling station as well as a wintering ground for the migrating birds from Siberia, Northern China and Japan. One can likewise dive and snorkel on the northwest part of the island.

NATURE ADVENTURE (性質的冒險)

Kawasan Falls – Situated in Matutinao, Badian Island. One can feel the surrounding lush greenery of the panoramic waterfalls.

Nonoc Cave – Located in Borbon, 83 km. north of Cebu City. Very picturesque view, shelter for picnic goers and bathers.
