TRANSPORTATION 交通 HOW TO GET THERE Davao is accessible by air, sea, and land transportation: It is an hour and 40 minutes away from Manila by plane and only 40 minutes away from Cebu City, or about 54 hours by boat from Manila and 24 hours from Cebu. There are daily direct flights from Manila. There are also daily sea voyages to and from Manila and the different points in Luzon and Visayas. It is an ideal jump-off point for other tourist attractions in Mindanao and the Visayas. Davao is the gateway to the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asia Growth Area or BIMP-EAGA. From Hong Kong The most convenient way is to take Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air or Cathay Pacific Airways from HKG Chek Lap Kok International Airport to Manila - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (approx. 1 hr 40 min). From Manila you may take daily connecting flights to Davao, serviced by Philippine Airlines & Cebu Pacific Air from early in the morning till the evening, with a flight time of about an hour and forty minutes. The Davao International Airport is located on the outskirts of the city or a mere 20 minutes ride from the city centre. Various options are available for transportation to Davao City and environs, from pedicabs, multicabs, to vans and taxis. Airport transfers to and from Davao International Airport can be arranged by most hotels & resorts. From Manila WG&A SuperFerry provides twice weekly ferry services from Manila to Davao & vice versa. From Cebu Davao is accessible from Cebu by ferry. Once a week services to & from Davao via Zamboanga, Dadiangas and Surigao are available. It takes approximately more than 2 days. From Iloilo SuperFerry provides weekly services to and from Iloilo and Davao. Ferry trips from Iloilo to Davao takes aprox 39 hours. From Zamboanga SuperFerry services the route weekly for the approximately twenty two hours trip between the islands. From General Santos SuperFerry provides twice weekly services for the route to and from General Santos City. Trip takes about 20 hours. From Manila Davao is accessible by land from most major cities and provinces not only in Mindanao but even as far as Metro Manila. There is a Manila to Davao Air-conditioned bus service by Philtranco Bus Company. Travel time is about 48 hours.
